Thank you so much for your answer! Our son was trained/instructed from birth from scripture. To answer your questions he was CONSTANTLY told about keeping pure until marriage. In fact we just spoke to him and gave him the opportunity to tell us the truth and he lied about his fiance living there when in fact know it is not true. We do not or ever did have cable of any kind. we also never watched television. He was homeschooled and taught the Truth from an early age. Like the Bible says-from the rising of the sun until the setting and the coming in and going out. We taught him God's standards. We told him all along (even as he was growing up)that we could not put our blessing or attend his wedding if he commited fornication. | ||||||

Put God First, I pray that you consider this decision carefully. When my husband and I were married my mother-in-law chose not to attend our wedding because we planned to move out of state after the wedding. This created a wedge of pain and resentment between my husband and his mother. Even now, 8 years later, their relationship is still strained because of her decision. I agree whole hearted that the church should take a stand against sin, and not sit by without saying anything. I think the thing you may want to pray about is how is the best way to show your son and his bride to be that they are living outside of the Will of God. What will boycotting their day accomplish? Read Matthew 9:10-12. Jesus did not turn away from sinners, instead He taught them the why they were sinning by spending time and fellowshiping with them. I will keep your family in my prayers. Kay |

God's day to you, Kay ... While Jesus did not turn away from sinners, I am not sure, I'd use the would fellowshiping. Because they were like minded. Moreover, Paul said to kick out sexual sinners (1 Cor 5) ... until they repented, when he said to welcome them back (2 Cor 5). Searcher |
