Bible Question:
I am a believer of the trinity. However, I do not understand how this is an explaination of the trinity. When I read these scriptures I understand that God is God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I know these are important men in the scripture that signify very important events. But can you explain to me how you interpret this as saying "I am the God of three persons" in relation to how you define the trinity. The trinity means to me "God in three persons" Isn't GOD the GOD of many who believe? The trinity is always coming up for debate. So I would like to have a response in case it is asked of me. Thank you very much. |
Bible Answer: The name Father means source. GOD the Father created all things throught the divine Word, His Son, by whom the Holy Spirit, who hoverered over the surface of the waters breathed life into the creation.John 1:1-3 (New International Version) The Word Became Flesh 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. John 1:14 14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[a] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:18 18No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only,[a][b]who is at the Father's side, has made him known. |
