Bible Note: Hi Nolan! Blood types are classified into four types. They are A, B. O. AB. In the United States, O is the most common blood type, 45 percent of the population has this type blood. In Japan, if my memory serves me correctly, B is the most common or predominant type. Each race has a predominant blood type. Several years ago, I began to wonder how, or why four blood types came into the human race from Adam, a single human, and why just four. Each race could have its own blood type. Or, all races could have just a single blood type. We know that Noah and his three sons repopulated the earth, so apparently four blood types were already in existence after the flood. This involves genetics, antigens and other things, e.g. sin, and sex. The human blood is tainted with sin, even from Adam, and the pure blood of the second Adam cleanse us of sin. So we are forgiven and will enjoy our new life with Christ without blood, for blood brings the misery of disease, pain and death. Blood runs throughout our Bible and it is an interesting study. In studying and reading, thoughts run through my mind and I have ask many well known scholars and teachers this question of the four blood types, but have never received a clear satisfactory answer. Perhaps, there is none. Jepson |
