Bible Question: What answer was Samuel expecting? |
Bible Answer: Blessings, Samuel was expecting the Lord to answer him as "Yea" or "Nay" concerning the issue of appointing a king for Israel. The Lord Himself was their king, but they wanted a king like the other nations around them (forgetting that they were God's chosen people). They did not know what they were doing or what they were asking for. Samuel knew this and was troubled in spirit. --Nolan |
