Bible Question: Why did God tell Sanuel to deceive at its best or to lie at its worst? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Gregoygan! Where was the lie? 1 Sam. 16:2 says, "But Samuel said, 'How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me.' The LORD said, 'Take a heifer with you and say, 'I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.'" Now, look at 1 Sam. 16:5, "Samuel replied, 'Yes, in peace; I have come to sacrifice to the LORD. Consecrate yourselves and come to the sacrifice with me.' Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice." God told Samuel to make a sacrifice and he did, so there was no lie. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
