Subject: Why do we have ""Free-Will"? |
Bible Note: Your question does make sense. You are saying that since we have actions preempted with sin, our living choices are doomed with sin, thus not really free-will.But would that be the act of a loving God? To set us up for failure? As a result of our inherited sin from Adam, our actions for the time being are founded in sin. However we still have the gift of free will, God gave us the ability to think, weigh matters, make decisions, and know right from wrong. (Hebrews 5:14) Thus, free will was to be based on intelligent choice. We were not made like mindless robots having no will of their own. Nor were we created to act out of instinct as were the animals. Instead, our marvelous brain was designed to work in harmony with our freedom of choice. So would it be reasonable to give us these capibilities, knowing that we will never reach the goals, ideas, or plans we passionately make? |
