Question (full): I have been saved and baptized for approx. 7yrs and have continuously backslid and fallen away. I read my bible and studied as best I knew how and even attended church. At no time was I ever taught that we need to fear God. It may have been mentioned in passing but never some type of study to help people like me from falling away. It is written that those who commit deliberate sin are not of God. I have much love for the Lord and I dont want to go to hell. Am I too late? If I confess will the Lord accept my confession and forgive me? Have I received his Holy Spirit? Will I develop this fear of God? How will I know if I have? I am in fear of hell and want nothing to do with what the world has to offer anymore. All I want and ever wanted is Jesus. Please help me to understand. Thank you to all who reply. |
