Bible Question: Doing a study on our obligations to each other(building up,confessing) and to God(our purose is His glory), would like to use Adam as my main basis, any suggestions of script/other studies previously done? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Corallee... Welcome to the forum! I probably wouldn't start with Adam. After all, we have a much better picture of our serving one another in the Second Adam! Furthermore, in the NT we have a much better expression of God's intention for us: the church. Why not look up the Greek word "allelon" in the epistles? That is what is translated as "one another." For example: Serve one another John 13:14; Galatians 5:13 Love one another John 13:34; 15:2, 17; Romans 12:10; 13:8; 1 Thessalonians 4:9; 1 Peter 1:22; 1 John 3:11, 23; 4:7, 11; 2 John 1:5 Be kind to one another Romans 12:10a; Ephesians 4:32 Receive one another Romans 15:7 Admonish one another Romans 15:14 Greet one another Romans 16:16; 1 Corinthians 16:20; 2 Corinthians 13:12; 1 Peter 5:14 Bear one another's burdens Galatians 6:2 Forgive one another Colossians 3:13 Teach one another Colossians 3:16 Worship with one another Colossians 3:16 Comfort one another 1 Thessalonians 4:18 Edify one another 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Exhort one another Hebrews 3:13 Encourage one another Hebrews 10:24 Submit to one another Ephesians 5:21; 1 Peter 5:5 Confess faults to one another James 5:16 Minister to one another 1 Peter 4:10 Etc. Etc. All of which are to be done within the context of the church. In Him, Doc |
