Bible Question: according to scripture you must not only believe but be doers of the word in order to be saved. I know it is not of works that I may do and my faith is in Christ being the only sacrafice needed and fully sufficient for my sins, but if we do our best everyday to walk in His way and follow Him, but still sin, wont we lose our salvation? |
Bible Answer: That sounds like a legitimate question from a human view point but tell me this; what sin didn’t Jesus die for? The only thing that can condemn a person is failure to have complete trust in Jesus and what He did on the cross for us! John 3:18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." John 1:11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: Keep trusting in the finished work of Christ. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Ephes. 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not of works, lest anyone should boast. Have a great day, CDBJ |
