Subject: How has Judaism influenced Christianity? |
Bible Note: Patty, shalom again Aaaah, OK. I understand. Sadly, not much of anything of the Jews is incorporated into the westernized churches nowadays. We are the ones on the losing end though, after all, we have been adopted into a Jewish family - our King and big Brother is a Jew for all Jews (even if they didn't see it). In this world my birth parents gave me up for adoption. When I was adopted, I did not retain my birth identity - I melded into my new family, learning their ways till after awhile no one could tell that I was adopted and not a natural member. As a believer, adopted into God's family and into the commonwealth of Israel, I don't see that it should be any different. Maybe someone else can see more, but I see very little of Judaism except for the Lord Himself. But there is a group of really strange folks who are returning to the Jewishness of Jesus (I'm one of them), you can google Messianic Judaism and see what is and is not being incorporated, if you want to go that route in your essay. Sorry, I couldn't help more. Cheri |
