Subject: If not saved and suicide done Lost??? |
Bible Note: G. Preston: Doing a funeral for someone who ended their life is heart wrenching for those left behind. In the case of someone who was in the family of believers in a church, there may be many who agonize with faith, death, and the question of why. There is never an answer that fills the gaps between God giving us more than we can handle, and the persons mental ability ask for help. Ther are medical reasons that can effect a persons mental stability. For example Alzheimer, Dementia, Dementia associated with alcoholism have had their share of those who saw no future, and were without hope. When the mind is disabled, lets say, cancer or other destructive causes then olny the LORD knows. However when I look at Romans 8:33-39 overwhelmingly, especially verse's 38 and 39 states "....will be able to seprate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Verse 38 includes "death". There is no reason for our condemnation of those who end their life, that is for Jesus Christ to deal with. Because the Bible does not directly speak in regard to suicide. We can say suicide is not trusting in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it." NASB 1995 Even for a person who is mentally incapacitated, suicide is sin. Taking control away from God and ending our life is always wrong and sinful. Even though we emphathize with situations that people endure, Scripture always gives us the words to guide and counsel with God's love with those in need of compassion. justme |
