Subject: If not saved and suicide done Lost??? |
Bible Note: Dear Mike, That was well written, well supported, and entirely correct. I believe, based on the Biblical ordo salutis (order of salvation, see post #151193), the blessing of eternal life must necessarily begin at regeneration (see post #204768). This is something that is subjective rather than objective; i.e., it is something that is done to the Christian, not done by the Christian. A good analogy is that babies do not birth themselves into life, rather conception, growth, and birth are things that babies do without volition. I think what happens with a lot of people is that they confuse scriptural statements of description with statements of prescription. This is an eisegetical method used to support many variations of synergistic soteriologies -- like the works based perspective in the post you addressed. Thank you for joining us in the forum.
