Bible Note: G P: I am not sure if many in the forum have a CE, or a NLT. As a help for those who do not have those translationnns it might be helpful when using a translation other than the NASB (the kind people that provide us this web site) or perhaps the NIV or the ESV. The last three translations are in general use for some time. Here in the Bible Belt many read nothing but the King James only! For me personally when I first read the PURPOSE DIVVEN LIFE I was very concerned. The reason I was concerned was Rev. Rick Warren used ELEVEN different versions of the Bible in his book. I get very alarmed when someone uses many different versions in a book. This in my opinion, is looking for a Bible that reads the way you want some verse to say. Surely in eleven different Bibles a person could get a point accross they want Scripture to say. If you ever get a chance to watch Precepts for Life with Kay Arthur, she teaches with Scripture that gives some Biblical proof as to the point of two books. I doubt many Christianns have such a wide knowledge the Bible. My wife and I have been blessed for the last two years. I only wish seminary were as in depth as Kay's teaching. Blessings. justme |
