Bible Question: what is a just weight in the Bible? |
Bible Answer: A "just weight" is a accurate counter balance on an old fashioned scale. Some people who cheat others by having a counter balance weight that was not it's true weight. If the weight was supposed to be 5 pounds, but it was less, then you could get short changed. Think of Gold miners getting paid 1000 dollars for 5 pounds of Gold, but if the counter balance is only 5.75 pounds it would mean they would lose the value of .75 pounds. |
