Bible Question:
what if you get excommunicated from a church, and they won't take you back after twelve years? but another church allows you to become a member there, and knowingly doesn't hold your excommunication against you? are you still excommunicated? is your new membershup valid? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Vnct Blzn, Perhaps the best clue for an answer to your question is the word "knowingly." If the other church knows about and has recognized the reasons for your excommunication but still does not hold it against you (and can do so Biblically), then I would assume that you would be a full member of the new congregation. But even if they accept you, there is still that matter with the other church that would seem to still be unresolved/unforgiven. Blessings to you, Makarios |
