Bible Question: I asked Jesus into my heart at the age of six. Currenlty I am 23. About a year and a half ago I began backsliding and was living a very sinful life. I started drinking a little bit, and then I let alcohol almost consume my life. I started sleeping with a few different men and before I knew it, I realized what a stupid life I was living. I quickly repented of my sins and turned back towards Jesus, who was waiting for me all along. Was that "phase" (or whatever it was) normal? Why would a Christian do such things? I am so humbled by the awful life that I led for a year or so straight. But I have turned back to God and never want to do anything like that again. |
Bible Answer: kingfish, Greetings and welcome to the forum. First of all let me say this get HELP! There is no shame in asking for help. Son I am highly relatable to where your at now. I'm a recovering addict alcoholic of seventeen years. Take a good look at things make sure you got your bible in front of you, get with another believer look at the scriptures about salvation. Where does your life line up now. It took me 35 years to figure out that I was living a lie. I thought and believed I was disciple all those years. It took someone sitting down with me and the bible and telling me nyet, nicht, nine, no. I am now. The only reason I'm sober today and I use that term emphatically is that I never had a relationship with Jesus. Do this son. There's no shame in findng out we were wrong. Better to know for sure than not. Do what you gotta do my friend. In Him, lionheart |
