Bible Note: Hello DL, What could be more evil? Enabling the evil-doer to continue oppression so that children starve is more evil. Sin has consequences which extend even to those uninvolved directly with the transgression or the perpetrator. That is an observable fact. If God simply provided for those affected, he would be unjust by enabling the irresponsibility of the transgressor. It would be the same as the U.S. government bailing out the banking, auto, credit, etc. industries for stupid past decisions. Instead, retribution should be meted out on the oppressor, which is something God has promised to do but not in our time frame. He is not slow as some men count slowness. Steve |
