Bible Question: We can trust in the bible? |
Bible Answer: Hi Howierocker and welcome to the forum. We can fully trust the Bible, God’s Word because we are told the following. 2 Tim. 3:16 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: In the chapter that precedes this we are told the following. 2 Tim. 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Couple those verses with this one; Psalm 119:160 (NASB) The sum of Thy word is truth, And every one of Thy righteous ordinances is everlasting. What that is telling us is that we don’t have truth on any particular doctrine until we consider “all” of God’s Word on any given subject. I hope you benefit from the forum, CDBJ |
