Bible Question:
After rereading the articles on Calvinism and Arminianism, I find there are parts of both I agree with, and parts of both I do not agree with. I NOT WANTING TO DISCUSS EITHER AND VIOLATE THE FORUM RUELS. My question is is there a name for those who would think each view has some worthy points? I mean besides just nuts. Is there a theological term for this? Thanks and blessings. justme |
Bible Answer: Oops... That should read "...since both perspectives logically exclude the other..." and "...perspectives as a spectrum..." Hmmm... maybe I should just retype it all! :-) Dear justme, There is no theological term per se, since both perspectives logically exclude the other. After you asked the question, I tried to think of any serious theologian that thought of these antipodal perspectives as a spectrum. None came to mind. On the other hand, you will find numerous lay people who look at it that way... perhaps they have given themselves some kind of moniker. In Him, Doc |
