Bible Question: I am a seminary student writing a paper on James 2:14-26. I am trying to find the reasons that led the NASB translators to render 2:18 as a long quote, rather than a short one. If any original translators, or those who have knowledge of their deliberations on this passage can respond, I would be grateful. |
Bible Answer: Hi, #7... Welcome to the forum! Great to have seminary students join us! You might dig around on the following site: http://www.bible-researcher.com/ Also, you could check to see what they say about that passage in James on the NET Bible. Generally there is more open discussion there than you will find elsewhere in regards to translation notes. On the other hand, maybe someone else in the SBF forum might be able to point us to more specific information that you are seeking. God bless you as you participate with us in the study of the Word. In Him, Doc |
