Subject: Abiding in Christ |
Bible Note: Greetings Brother! My understanding is it is essential that we abide in Him! In so doing the Father is glorified and our joy will be made full! We will experience spiritual growth! When we do not we are fruitless and can do nothing! We are to submit to Him as Lord and truly become His disciple! John 15:1-11 Our walk should be as His walk (Complete obedience!) doing all that has been commanded of us! (1 John 2:6, John 6:38, Philippians 2:8, John 8:29,28, John 5:30, John 4:34, John 12:49, John 14:31 to list a few!) I would agree with Murray in regards to the great loss. Consider the contrast of abiding in Him and not. John 15:6-7 6"If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. 7"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." I think Murray’s point regarding the loss sums it up well. Help us and teach us to abide in you Lord! Amen! By Faith, Steve |
