Bible Question:
In mrk 14:25 Jesus states He will not drink anymore of the fruit of the VINE What VINE do you think was He referencing to? |
Bible Answer: The fruit of the vine refers to grapes/Wine. Jesus did not drink the third or fourth cups of wine at the last Supper (Seder). On the cross his last act before saying te telestai (it is complete) was to drink sour wine. He was completing the Seder meal with his disciples and entering the kingdom of God. So the fruit of the vine refers to the Eucharist of his body and blood which His disciples sharred with Him. |
