Bible Question:
How will you baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost while doing this deed in the name of Jesus? Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Mt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Show me one person in the Bible that was baptized as the Trinity doctrine should have us to be baptized. Will I be barred from posting here because I do not believe in the Trinity doctrine? Praise the Lord! Norm |
Bible Answer: Good questions... Although, I am not a theologian, hopefully this will answer your question. The first things to acknowledge (or understand) is this. God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are one. I am not trying to preach the trinity to you but, hopefully to help you understand. Once the diciples asked Christ that if they could see the face of God as Moses did, it would help them believe better. Jesus told them that by looking into His face they are seeing the face of God. In Acts 19:4-6 Paul said, "...John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus." On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them..." So in knowing this, is it not wise to assume that the three are truly one? I am sure there are more supporting verses in the bible that others will show you. These are the ones that stand out in my mind. |
