Bible Question:
Is it wrong for a woman to divorce a man, because the husband is treating the wife terribly. For example, the husband gets mad for the littlest things, explodes into a flurry of rage, and flees, or gos somewhere else. This happens alot, and the wife can't live with this anylonger, for it hurts her terribly. She can't work efficiently, she is scared of her husband,(and I am too) and she can't be happy, because her heart is being broken all the time. -- Anonymous |
Bible Answer: I am assuming you have read the one and only reason for biblical divorce (it does not say "for fornication and lying, and beating, and neglecting...") is why you are asking this. That is applicable to divorce... but not to going and staying with your mother for some time to straighten things out. Is the husband a God fearing man? Point his error out biblically if he is. A man is to love his wife as himself, even as Christ loved the church. I did not throw bible verses at you because you already know what they say i am sure. Also seperation is not divorce. Give it some time, some work, and alot of God. And pray. Email me if you need to. I have little experience to offer tho i am a newly wed (3 years) but i could put you into contact with many people who have vast experience. |
