Subject: Does God have wings? |
Bible Note: kalos, isn't incredible that there are people calling themselves Christians whose spiritual discernment is so dim and Bible knowledge so limited that they fall for the absurd blunders of theological dunderheads like Copeland? ..... "Oh, but I know of a couple of people who have actually seen God," they say, believing these ridiculous reports of misguided souls who have had "experiences" and been made privy to "special revelation" while, at the same time, completely ignoring Christ's words in John 4:24. "God is spirit" It's a wonder they bother to read the Bible at all, since it is obvious they prize their own private "experiences" and their own private "revelations" far more than anything Scripture says. Though I may be looked upon as a relic from the past and viewed as a skeptic at best and a weird heretic at worst for embracing sola scriptura and denouncing as utterly false these spiritual "experiences" as well as any and all claims to special and personal divine "revelation," I stand on the authority of God's word and on it alone. Concerning all spiritual matters, if the Bible doesn't teach it, I do not believe it because, stripped of all its trappings, any teaching not supported by Scripture is nothing but a lie. --Hank |
