Bible Question: I know that Jesus discusses divorce. He doesn't condem it, doesn't approve, but says people should stay married. I just feel like there is something in the Bible besides 1 Kings that states about forgiveness. Something that says that parents should support their children's marriage. |
Bible Answer: Hi, Waldoette... Yes, since marriage is God's design, that is what they should do. But others rarely do exactly as they should. However, it is unlikely that your in-laws will do what is right simply because you present them with Biblical evidence to support your assertions. God is more interested in how you handle these set of circumstances. If you seek His glory, surrendering fully to Him, then perhaps you will be sufficiently out of the way for Him to work in their lives.
