Bible Question:
Hi, I am a new user and not familiar with this sight but I am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I am looking for a book, sight, etc, that will show a timeline from new testament manuscripts to our modern day translations. For example, NASB, NIV come directly from manuscripts that include the Codex Vaticanus and the Codex Sinaticus, while the KJV comes from the Textus Receptus, which came from the Byzantine and Lucian Texts. I am not trying to make any kind of argument which is better or more accurate, simply where do they come from. Anyone have a good place to look? Thanks |
Bible Answer: anyad - It's always a delight to welcome a new user to Study Bible Forum. A web site that may help you slake your thirst for more information on Bible manuscripts/texts is as follows: http://www.foundationsforfreedom.net/Topics/Bible/Bible_Reliability.html ..... I found the article delightful. I hope you like it too. You may want to explore more offerings of this site while you're there. --Hank |
