Bible Question:
Hi, I am a new user and not familiar with this sight but I am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I am looking for a book, sight, etc, that will show a timeline from new testament manuscripts to our modern day translations. For example, NASB, NIV come directly from manuscripts that include the Codex Vaticanus and the Codex Sinaticus, while the KJV comes from the Textus Receptus, which came from the Byzantine and Lucian Texts. I am not trying to make any kind of argument which is better or more accurate, simply where do they come from. Anyone have a good place to look? Thanks |
Bible Answer: Hi anyad, Welcome to the Forum! You might try this site: http://www.skypoint.com/(tilde)waltzmn/ -where (tilde) appears, insert a tilde - the squiggly thing on the upper left of the keyboard- I've only just begun mining this site, but it seems to have an amazing amount of information. Love in Christ, Mark |
