Subject: The Doctrines Please?

Let me bring this into a little perspective. This is a Bible study forum not a Bible debate forum.

In the a Bible study you try to glean the truth of the word and then discuss how to apply it and utilize it in your Christian walk.

In doctrinal debates usually a person has an off the wall or favorite doctrine they want everyone to accept. This is usually mindless debate and rarely offers any good result. There are hundreds of them out there on the Web and most anyone is welcome to go there and enjoy themselves.

However this forum is dedicated to Bible study and applying biblical truths to our everyday life.
Many come here because they find a degree of rational thinking that isn't present in so many other "Bible" forums. Why is that? Because most rational thinkers know it serves no purpose to argue doctrine with someone that has no other interest than hearing himself talk.

I fail to understand why someone who is so dissatisfied with the format of this forum and the way Lockman has it structure keeps coming back. Perhaps they are looking of the intelligent conversation or perhaps they are looking for an argument.

There is a common saying either become part of the solution or get out of the way. If you or anyone has an idea on how to conduct a Bible study forum in a better manner perhaps you would share it with us. Again this is a Bible study forum not a Biblical debate forum.
