Bible Question: Can a man be with another man |
Bible Answer: Hi, Towanda. God has given every human on this earth his/her own free will which means that the things we do, the lives we live are according to the choices we make. However, someone who has chosen Christ as Savior and has chosen to do the will of God, chooses the things of God via guidance of the Holy Ghost. A man can be with another man, but this is not of God. Leviticus 20:13 (Amplified Version) says, "If a man lies with a male as if he were a woman, both men have committed an offense (something perverse, unnatural, abhorrent, and detestable); they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." According to Leviticus 18:22, homosexuality is an abomination to God: "You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination." This is not just an Old Testament teaching. It is written in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, "Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality, Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God." Can a man? Yes, he does what he will to please his lustful desires. Should a man? No, it's against God. The same goes for women who participate in homosexuality. Does this answer your question?
