Bible Note: Here are some, though they do not come right out and give his age. I believe it is as close as we can get. Daniel 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks equals 483 years From Jerusalem rebuilt, there are more than one decree to rebuild, but this is the only one that mentions rebuilding the city, not the temple: Nehemiah 2:8 And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me. King Artaxerxes' reign seems to be rather well documented as beginning in 465/464 BC depending on whose calendar you want to use. Feel free to search the internet in regard to his reign. This decree being in the 20th year would put the decree in the year of 445/444 BC. To the Messiah the Prince: Luke 19:37-40 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. This is the first time the Jesus publicly proclaimed himself the Messiah. We also know he did not live much longer after this being the first day of the week and being crucified on the 6th day of the same week: John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. One more thing to take into account is the length of a biblical year. Looking at the tribulation in Daniel/Revelations and the account of Noah's flood, we can deduce a biblical year to be 360 days. Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. Genesis 8:3-4 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated. And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. Thus 483 years X 360 days equals 173880 Counting 173880 days from 445/444 BC will put you at 32/33 AD Of course trying to narrow down his exact age using our poor excuse for a calendar I do not think is possible.
