Bible Question: I was wondering if they ever told the name of the wife of Ponchus Pilate? She tried to warn Pilate not to harm Jesus, and knew he was a holy man. I heard later that Pilate killed himself, but have never found that in the bible either. Could you let me know if this is in some other book not put in our bible? |
Bible Answer: Footnote to the life of Pilate. A short time after the crucifixion of Christ, Spanish-born Pilate died in France. He committed suicide. The battle of Hastings, the discovery of America, the Revolutionary War, the presidency of George Washington -- all of these are facts of history. Yet none are recorded in the Bible. |
