Bible Question: What is meant by the Father, the Son and the holy spirit being one in the same? Are they one entity? Many churches are split due to different opinions about this. What is the importance of this belief and what is the truth? All I know is God sacrifriced his son (not himself) and Christ prayed to the Father not himself. |
Bible Answer: Hi shadow thorn, God by his very nature, or attribute, isn’t able to die so that’s why he had to become a man. God became a man (Jesus) to pay a debt that he didn’t owe because mankind owed a debt that he couldn’t pay. The wages of sin is separation from God forever. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. What a fantastic gift!!!!!!!! 2 Cor. 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Now there’s a real trade, Jesus got our sin and when we trust in him for eternal life He gives us His righteousness. Is that real love in action or what? Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Ephes. 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Have a great day, CDBJ |
