Bible Question:
The Bible never defines the age of accountability or maybe I don't know where to look for it. My question is: can a youth who never knew the LORD and died suddenly, go to Heaven. Or even if he knew about salvation and didn't make a profession be saved. Ed |
Bible Answer: This is a very good question. I like to say, "Mind of accountability" because salvation doesn't really have an age limit. When a young soul can understand that God is a living being, along with being able to acknowledge that he/she is a sinner, then he/she is accountable. If that soul never comes to know God, then he/she will separated from God eternally. But a little one who cannot understand this and has no idea even what sin is, won't be held accountable when he/she dies. These souls will see God. This brings to mind Revelation 20:12, "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
