Subject: soul of unsaved people |
Bible Note: If what you say is true, “We all go to the dead, i.e. where the other dead are. We remain so till we are brought back to life in the resurrection.” How do you, explain away the following, spoken of by Paul? 2 Cor. 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Again in the book of Revelation there are souls talking to the Lord yet without what we know as a body. It sounds like Paul must have known something that you don’t! Philip. 1:21-24 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: 24Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. There must be some kind of an interim body that we don’t know about because they are speaking! Rev. 6:9-10 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? How do you explain all that away? CDBJ |
