Bible Question: What does the Bible say about reincarnation and near death experiences? |
Bible Answer: KathyD3500 I response to your question on reincarnation Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, I think this pretty much shuts the door on the subject. Also that verse should be a very sobering message to those that don't know Jesus. As to your question on near death experiences. I have heard many tell of the bright lights and beautiful flowing fields. But that is not what Heaven is about, if they don't come face to face with the Lord there is a problem. I love beautiful flowers but I want to see Jesus! Isaiah 6:1 In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. 2 Cor. 5:8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. Also we see an example with Paul in 2 Cor. 12:3-4 And I know how such a man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows— [4] was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak. Here Paul tells us he was in heaven and saw and heard thing that can't be spoken. How can all these near death'ers write books and engage in speaking tours making money off of something Paul said he was unable to put into words? I have a word charlatans EdB |
