Bible Question:
My NASB Bible (Zodhiates Key Word Study Bible) has several differences from all of the online versions I look at and I was wondering what the reason was behind that. For example, James 1:6 in my Bible states "But let him ask in faith without any doubting...". All online versions that I have looked at state "But he must ask in faith without any doubting...". There are many others like this. I know it is a small thing but my daughter is memorizing scripture and I have chosen the NASB as the best translation for her to do so. I would hate to find that she has been memorizing something wrong. Any ideas what is going on here? Thank you Lance Albury |
Bible Answer: Lance I'm not sure if this applies to every difference but the one in James 1:6 the difference is your using a NASB updated Bible that came out in 1995. Where the reading your comparing to is the original NASB that came out in 1971. To me the updated version is much easier to read aloud than the older version. EdB |
