Bible Question: How am I supposed to overlook the fact that the pastor of a church which I used to be a member but still have ties to is holding AA meetings inside the church on weeknights? I feel it is the duty of a Christian to take the pastor to task because I feel he is compromising the holiness of God's house by catering to those who worship a 'higher power' also known as paganism. |
Bible Answer: We are not here to judge the world but to be a light in the darkness. Just because it's a "church" and he's a "pastor" doesn't mean either is holy or perfect. The church is just a building. Nothing holy. He is just a man, not perfect. As a Christian your job is to strive to be like Christ. In all things, in all ways. If God is leading you to confront him, then you must do so in love. And if he is not receptive, then maybe it's time to go. Spend time with the Lord. Is he leading you to another fellowship? Vengence is mine sayith the Lord. |
