Bible Question: A study book I've tried is using text from something called the "TEV". Can you tell me what is this bible? Thank You. Bob Highgate |
Bible Answer: TEV is an abbreviation for Today's English Version. Also known as the Good New Bible, this version has been around since 1976. It follows a thought-for-thought translation philosophy in contrast to a more literal word-for-word translation, such as the King James and New American Standard Bibles. I used the Google search engine and typed in Today's English Version. It yielded more material on this version than I was inclined to digest! --Hank |
