Bible Question:
Gospel that contains short stories of Jesus' power and authority? |
Bible Answer: All four of the gospels -- Matthew, Mark, Luke and John -- contain accounts of Jesus' miracles (John calls them "signs") that attest to his power and authority. More likely to be considered "short stories" are the parables, the precious little anecdotes Jesus often used as a teaching tool. The Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) record the parables; John does not. Many Bibles print a referenced list of both the miracles and the parables of Christ that makes for a handy guide. --Hank |
