Subject: how can i get the powers of the holy spi |
Bible Note: Hello Ken, You asked: [Get my drift?] Do you get mine? You had answered to Evangelica that "the gift of teaching, or preaching, or encouraging, or serving...ect.....None of the these are gifts and serving is more of a fruit." Romans 12:6-8 clearly states that teaching, serving, and encouraging are listed as spiritual gifts. Next we have: [Yes...And. The above mentions joy. What "joy" would that be, Steve?] Joy in a relationship with God Himself through the Lord Jesus Christ. But I was responding to your answer that the Holy Spirit does not empower us to live for God. You also stated: [When you see it [with your spiritual eyes] you will understand it is His power of Himself in you functioning and not power that He gives you] I agree His power works in us. I never said otherwise. You had said the Holy Spirit does not empower us to live. Now you admit He does but somehow does not. I don't understand. [And no you are not made into a robot because the Spirit is always subject to the Prophet] I never thought this. I don't know why you mentioned it. [It is Him in you and upon you that is the strength, not just something He gives you should you be lacking the Mind of God.] Right, the Holy Spirit strengthens us through His power as stated in Eph 3:16. [Chapter and verse? How about common sense when reading the text in context? You should know what the context is by now.] I asked for chapter and verse because I could not understand the context of your statement. So I ask again for chapter and verse to back your statement that strength should be a "wisdom". Steve |
