Bible Question: Why are the geneologies of Jesus different in Matthew and Luke? |
Bible Answer: Dear Punahele, One genealogy is from his stepfather's side and one is from his mother's. One is from Adam and one is the Messianic line from Abraham. Both Jesus' earthly parents were from the line of David which was significant from whatever point of view you had. The Gospel writers were making different points - they are not conflicting. I hope this is helpful. Itiswritten |
