Bible Answer: Johnny- This is a hard question. inmyheart gave some good scripture verses about it. I am thinking, though, that the reason Judas was not forgiven (if he was not forgiven) is because, although he repented of killing - indirectly- an innocent man, he did not acknowledge that Jesus was the Son of God. I think that maybe, if those who took part in the crucifixion realized who it was that they killed, repented of their actions and believed in Him, that they were saved. The man who guarded the Cross acknowledged it. I wrote a short story about this subject, seen from the eyes of a man who could have taken part in it and it is posted at Christian interactive. Just my thoughts. One of those questions that I don't think we will know for sure until we are there. Debbie |
