Bible Question: why didn't God want Isaac to go back to his father country? |
Bible Answer: The are a number of factors that can be elaborated in order to know why God never told Isaac to go back to his father's country to get a wife. 1. God wanted Isaac to trust him completely that he himself would trace down the right girl for him. It was a matter of faith that Isaac had put in the Lord and the first matter directly about Isaac's personal life, of which God wanted to be a part of. 2. Isaac had yet to learn that God knows the emptiness of his heart and he would do everything he can to change the situation. A wife was the perfect gift for Isaac, which God himself chose 3. Isaac was mournful about his mother's death and it would have been quite odd if he would have gone in search for a wife at that certain point of time in his life. And God could see that Isaac was lonely, just the same way as God had seen the loneliness of Adam in the garden of Eden, and had created Eve for him. I guess God was working Indirectly for Isaac through his father and his faithful servant. hope it helps John |
