Bible Question: My question should have been more specific. The position is not my question. How the seer saw is. I understand that the Kings used the seer to determine the intent of foreign representatives. The seer could advise the King as to whether the representatives were pure intentioned or meant evil. Did the seer perhaps see colors or devined the intent? I suggest that there is some meat with this potato. |
Bible Answer: Hi, bwhitman... The word "seer" became obsolete as the gloss in 1 Samuel 9:9 states. However, it had nothing to do with visions. Instead, this term ties back (in Hebrew as well as English) to the idea of men who could "fore-see" the future. I cannot find evidence to support any other notion.
