Subject: What's the true translation of ZEC 12:10 |
Bible Note: Dave Here is the NASB Zech. 12:10 "I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. Now the NLT Zech. 12:10 "Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on all the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died. Lament means to weep or to mourn. Yes what you saying is true one day soon Israel will realize Jesus was the Messiah they sought after an will weep and mourn over their rejection of Him. EdB |
