Bible Question: Did God want borders to exist between His people? I get the feeling that He did with His actions at The Tower of Babel. |
Bible Answer: Acts 17:26 and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, Acts 17:27 that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; These verses say "yes" to your question, JMR. Why do you ask? Just because the dividing of tongues and peoples was the result of sin, doesn't mean it wasn't God plan that there should be languages and nations. After all, although the begining of human kings in Israel was the result of sin, it was God's plan all along that Christ would sit on the throne of David forever. It is God plan that a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, stand before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches in their hands; Rev 7:9. Besides, earthly political boarders cannot destroy the unity of Christ's church. Lionstrong |
