Bible Question: I am wanting to know specifically where the NASB bible's original documents came from that were used in it's translation as well as who did the actual translating and their qualifications. I believe with my whole heart that as Jesus said "Be holy as I am holy" means that we are to strive for perfection. I want my bible to be the most accurate so I can have the best instruction available. |
Bible Answer: Seeking the Truth, The only way to have accuracy in the Bible is to search the scriptures like the Bereans did in Acts 17:11-12. What you need is to look at different translations of the Bible and pick which one seems to speak the truth to you the most. I myself prefer the NKJV along with the New English Translation (NET) and NIV. You can find these bibles on the web to even refer to. (www.bible.org/netbible/) Another great help is to get a Strongs Exhaustive Concordance, to help you find any word in the Bible, it also translates it from Greek and Hebrew too. Another great site that has tons of Bibles and Concordances is www.e-sword.net/ you can download this program to your computer and it even has a KJV with the Hebrew and Greek word find. This is an excellent help. Hope this helps! Sola Scriptura Mike |
