Bible Note: Greetings Angellightboy! That was fast! ;-) Obviously, love is the greatest commandment. We would be in agreement on that point. However, 'love' doesn't excuse sin either. I can claim to be in 'love' with another woman, but that doesn't give me the right to commit adultery when God says that adultry is a sin. I can claim to 'love' three or four woman, but that doesn't give me to the right to have more than 'one' wife. I can claim to love another man, but that doesn't give me the right to engage in homosexuality when Scripture declares that homosexuality is a sin. As far as Jesus is concerned, your point is an arguement from silence, since Jesus also never permitted homosexuality either. He never mentioned Bank Robbery either, so is that okay? ;-) So, on what basis can you conclude that the clear statements of both Old and New Testaments can be ignored?
