Bible Question: We are suppose to come to before God with a Broken Heart, but what does that all intale? What does it really mean to be broken before God? Where are scriptures located in the Bible that reference to this subject? |
Bible Answer: Dear Rachclark, I believe "brokenness" before God means a right heart attitude of recognition of ones own shortcomings and true sorrow for sinfulness and desire to be right with God as is expressed in Psalms 34:18 and 51:17, in Isaiah 57:15 and 66:2. I believe that these are expressed best in the New Testament by Jesus when He gave the parable of the Pharisee and the publican in Luke 18:9-17. I hope this answers your question adequately.
